Series I've binge-watched

HelloI hope you had a wonderful day, here's a list of some of the series that I've binge-watched lately and I recommend them higly!

Bridgerton (2020):

Wealth, lust and betrayal set against the backdrop of Regency-era England, seen through the eyes of the powerful Bridgerton family. Back at that Era, girls at the age of 18 have to be out in the society in order to get noticed and be married.

However, the love story between Daphne Bridgerton and The Duke is the highlight of the series,a modern love story in an old Era;they go through many ups and downs through their relationships they still make it through and have a happy ending. My ultimate favourite character would have to be Penelope Featherington, she's smart and sweet, she managed to fool everyone with her cute appearance but in reality she hid a very dark secret.

I recommend this series, as a feel-good, romantic, vintage breeze of air. It's worth the length of its episodes, too bad the shows has only 9 episodes but I hear a second season is on its way!

Euphoria (2019):

A look at life for a group of high school students as they grapple with issues of drugs, sex and violence. Hands down to the darkest most realistic high school series ever, they managed to pick a perfect brilliant cast, a very smart scenario and a genius cinematography along with the music.

My favourite character in this show is "Jules" played by Zendaya a teenager who lost her father at a really young age that affected her lifeterribly and was the main reason for her to start taking drugs and finally become an addict. Her addiction effects, her mental and physical health, her family and surroundings and her love interest as well. Zendaya managed to pull off such a complex character, who sees her life falls apart due to drugs, the facial expressions the voice... Her acting is phenomenal and you will see the same performance from the rest of the cast as well.

I recommend this show a lot, but a small warning you might get uncomfortable with intimate scenes, drugs, violence and strong language.

The office (2005):

Lately, I've been watching a lot of short clips of this showw from different seasons and I found it hilarious It's so entertaining and funny even though some jokes might be a bit offensive I didn't mind it at all. This show was like a healing process for me, I had a low period and this show confronted me in the best way ever.

What I liked abot the show, is the diversity of its cast, you find people from al different shapes and sizes, all walks of life. You can relate to many characters, the very realistic office romance of Jim and Pam, the very toxic and complicated relationship of Ryan and Kelly.

You can very much enjoy the  christmas episodes, as well as the valentine's day ones and more! This show will never fail to make me laugh, and it'll always have a special place in my heart.

I very much recommend this cringe-worthy classic sitcom, thay you'll very much enjoy!

True Beauty (Kdrama) (2020):

So I've been hearing a lot of positive reactions towards this Kdrama, and personally I haven't seen a good kdrama lately so I said why not? And I remember, I started watching it on Valentine's Day just to let you know how much I needed a feel-good series! And let me tell you, it's the best descision I've ever made!

The story follows a girl that suffers from bullying in her high-school because of her ugly looks, so she transforms herslef into a gorgeous "Goddess" and quickly rises to fame afetr mastering the art of makeup via online tutorial videos.

The cast in my opinion was perfect! From the female lead to the other supporting characters.  Aside from the romance, and emotions in this kdrama it critisezes the Korean society, that have put specific beauty standards to measure looks, which kead to hating, bullying and even harrasment. I would have to praise the OST of this kdrama because it's s good and very enjoyable, as well as the editing.

True Beauty, is a sweet & sour kdrama it's funny and dramatic as well and it will make you suffer from the side character sydrome towards "Han Seo Jun". Because I still can't get over him!. i recommend this kdrama a lot and you'll very much enjoy and cry every moment of it!

This blog came to an end, I hope you enjoyed reading it. And I promise that there will be a part 2
